May 6, 2008

With Iron Man having a monster opening weekend, pulling in over $100-million, this new “The Dark Knight” trailer shows why it could quite possibly be the best summer movie yet. “The new suit, on the other hand, seems even more souped up and gadgety than the first. We’ll have to wait for the movie to see what crazy ass stuff they shoved in.” Check it out in theaters July 18th!

Brandon Lee’s Coat from The Crow - For Auction

March 13, 2008

This one is a little creepy, even for me. It is the actual jacket that held Brandon Lee’s guts in after he was shot and killed while on the set of The Crow (1994). It is said to be authentic because it still has the blood stains on the lower back right side. “Black leather mid-length coat by the Leather Warehouse, size 38, bought for Lee… Together with a letter of authenticity form Darryl Levine, the film wardrobe supervisor.”

It is up for auction from  ‘The Pugliese Pop Culture Collection‘ - “may well be the finest collection focusing on 20th Century pop culture ever privately assembled. Approximately eight hundred and fifty of the most extraordinary objects imaginable from the worlds of motion pictures, popular music, magic, television and politics were gathered over several decades by Anthony Pugliese, a man who might well be described as a true visionary. A small sampling of the Collection’s treasures include Houdini’s straightjacket, the Maltese Falcon statuette, Christopher Reeves’ Superman suit, John Lennon’s Abbey Road suit, Elvis Presley’s personal rifle collection and the gun that Jack Ruby used to kill Lee Harvey Oswald.”

Bidding starts at $7,500.00, Estimated to go for around $15,000.00 to $25,000.00 .  Place your bids here.

VIDEO: New Iron Man Movie Trailer Released

March 9, 2008

New Iron Man movie coming out May 2nd. Despite it being yet another comic book adaptation that further proves there are no longer any original ideas in Hollywood (maybe the writers were getting paid the right amount before the strike?) the trailer is actually quite unexpectedly good.

“Injured by shrapnel embedded near his heart, he is ordered by his captors to assemble a missile for them, and they give him access to a workshop. He puts his creativity to use by assembling a bulletproof suit of power armor, complete with pacemaker and flamethrowers, and uses it to free himself”
