“The 2008 M1’s styling is a new direction for BMW and a departure from Chris Bangle’s flame surfacing that changed the entire BMW line. Now we have more purposeful lines, a void of extraneous curves and a more purposeful stance. BMW said this was a new direction that would trickle down to all BMW models.”

I was thinking about getting an M1, but then my husband showed me this concept car and “I don’t think so” came out of my mouth. The 135i is a gorgeous car, why wouldn’t they make the M1 similar? Ugh!
BMW doesn’t make an “M” version of the 1 series yet (assuming that’s what you mean by M1, oh2btigger). This car doesn’t have anything to do with the 1 series; it’s a throwback to the old BMW M1 (made from ‘78-81).
I think this new version of the M1 is kinda ugly. I do agree that the 1 series is hot, though.
