
The more pixels, the worse the image. Sweet Spot: 6MP
March 3, 2008So apparently after 6 megapixels, the more pixels your digital camera has, the worse the image gets. Camera companies know that people cream over the number of megapixels their camera possesses, and so they cram as many MPs they can onto the image sensor. With compact digital cameras the image sensor can only so big because of the cameras overall size, so the MPs get smaller as they cram more onto the sensor. This results in grainy images because there is then more ‘image noise’.

Then tell me why the Canon 5D kicks ass. I believe that its the number of mp and the size of the sensor in combo with the software.
